DBL NEWS #1
Boa tarde amigos DBL,
Venho trazer pra vocês a primeira edição do DBL News, trazendo pra você fantasma de merda que não acompanha o Chat mais informações!!!
Vamos à algumas matérias do dia:
Report: Jonas Jerebko re-signs with Boston
Jonas Jerebko will sign a two-year, $10 million deal with the Celtics.
Apparently his awful four postseason games against the Cavs didn't matter. Jerebko did come on down the stretch during the regular season and even put up a 16-point game in the finale, but this big of a contract is a slight surprise.
Kyle Singler Agrees 5-year Deal with OKC
Restricted free agent Kyle Singler has agreed to a five-year, $25 million deal with the Thunder.
There aren't many players getting five-year deals and Singler is one of the bigger surprises. Chances are this is a cap-friendly deal for a guy who might not even be in the rotation. The last year of this deal is a team option.
Tyson Chandler agrees to deal with Suns
Chupa Tião
Tyson Chandler has agreed to a deal with the Suns worth $52 million over four years.
Well, we have our first surprise of the day. Additionally, the Suns are going to bring Chandler to their meeting with LaMarcus Aldridge. The Suns had some issues with center because Alex Len just couldn't stay healthy, but now they have two terrific rim protectors. Len is no longer a fantasy sleeper for next year while Chandler should be a double-double guy with blocks in an up-tempo style. Of course, the Suns signing a 32-year-old big man to a four-year deal carries some serious risk.
Kevin Love says he's going back to the Cavs
Chupa Brenke
Kevin Love announced he will return to the Cavs and accept a five-year, $110 million deal.
"After Game 1 of the NBA Finals, that’s when it really struck me. Sitting on the sidelines, I never wanted to play in a game more than that one," Love said on his Players' Tribune article. "I had dreamed of playing in the NBA Finals and I just wanted to help my guys win. I couldn’t have been prouder of them as they poured their blood, sweat and tears onto the court." The Cavs are spending all sorts of money to get the band back together, so expect LeBron's deal to happen in the near future. Love will be worth a second or third round pick in fantasy leagues next year.
Jimmy Butler finalizing max deal with Bulls
Jimmy Butler is finalizing a max deal with the Bulls worth $95 million over five years.
The other teams after Butler have given up, so the Bulls have their man. There were some rumblings of Butler being worried about it being "Derrick Rose's team" and that will have to be something to watch. Butler led the NBA in minutes per game last season and was the eighth-best player in fantasy per game. He could be even better next year.
Amir Johnson, Celtics Agree Upon Two-Year, $24M Deal
Amir Johnson and the Boston Celtics have agreed upon a two-year, $24 million contract.
Johnson is coming off a five-year, $34 million contract with the Toronto Raptors.
DeMarre Carroll Agrees To Four-Year, $60M Deal With Raptors
DeMarre Carroll has agreed to sign with the Toronto Raptors on a four-year, $60 million deal.
Carroll had a breakout season with the Atlanta Hawks as a two-way small forward.
Jeff Zillgitt of the USA Today reports the Knicks were prepared to offer the same or similar deal to Carroll as the Raptors, but he preferred the outlook of Toronto.
Spurs Trade Tiago Splitter To Hawks
The San Antonio Spurs have agreed to trade Tiago Splitter to the Atlanta Hawks.
The Spurs needed to clear cap space to operate in free agency to agree upon a new deal with Danny Green and pursue LaMarcus Aldridge.
The Hawks now have a replacement for Paul Millsap should he sign with the Orlando Magic. DeMarre Carroll signed with the Toronto Raptors.
Splitter is 30 years old and won't become a free agent until 2017.
Atlanta had the cap space to absorb the contract of Splitter.
Brian Windhorst reports Atlanta may have to make a second maneuver or cut Austin Daye and Mike Muscala, who have non-guaranteed contracts, but it is still in position to have as much as $18 million in cap space even with the Splitter acquisition.
